The Wounded Warrior Project charity has been under much speculation due to their spending habits and usage of charitable donations. Since ABC news broke the story in late January, The Patriots Initiative has been contacted by numerous media outlets regarding the issue, and recently, the San Diego Union Tribune contacted The Patriots Initiative.

“Unfortunately, the Wounded Warrior Project consistently failed to satisfy many of the required criteria we consider necessary for donor engagement and success,” a quote by TPI’s Chairman, Greg Hillgren as he spoke with the San Diego Union Tribune about the Wounded Warrior project and TPI’s Directory.
