What we do
With hundreds of nonprofits emerging in local communities and across the nation to serve the needs of the military, how can donors know which ones are the most effective? How can you learn about organizations and the good work that is being done?
We saw the need to simplify this process for donors. The Patriots Initiative is a resource for identifying and evaluating those organizations, and for appropriately distributing funds to the causes most in need. You can be confident that your donation to any of the TPI Funds, guided by our firsthand knowledge and expertise, will be impactful and serve the most critical needs. TPI is not an aggregator – 100% of your donation goes directly to the military nonprofits you recommend.
TPI Discretionary Fund
Not sure which organization to support? TPI’s Advisory Board directs grants to programs with the highest need and impact at nonprofits accredited by THE DIRECTORY.
TPI Family Support Fund
Military families make huge sacrifices, too. TPI supports active military and veteran families in crisis or need.
TPI Wounded and Fallen Fund
Many have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. TPI supports service members and dependents when injury or catastrophic events occur.
TPI Warriors in Transition Fund
TPI supports retiring and veteran warriors through the transition to civilian employment or educational opportunities.
In order to improve the quality of life for active duty and veteran military families, the objective of The Patriots Initiative is to identify and support only the most qualified nonprofits who fulfill those needs.
The Patriots Initiative carefully researches and rigorously evaluates nonprofits providing services to the military community. The Directory, based on these quantitative and qualitative evaluations, is a comprehensive listing of trustworthy and accountable nonprofits doing the best work supporting military service members and their families. The Directory is a resource for donors seeking the finest nonprofit service providers.
The Patriots Initiative regularly updates The Directory and re-evaluates the landscape of nonprofit organizations to provide the most current list of recommended programs and agencies that support the military.
