The Patriots Initiative Launches Across The Nation

Military Nonprofit Begins National Awareness Campaign Expanding its One-of-a-Kind Services to All 50 States

San Diego, Calif.- July 4, 2015 – The Patriots Initiative (TPI), the only 501(c)(3) nonprofit of its kind to develop a proprietary process for qualitatively and quantitatively evaluating the effectiveness of nonprofits providing services to the military community, has officially launched its campaign for partnering with local community foundations across the nation.

“The Patriots Initiative saw the need to simplify the philanthropic process for military donors and focuses its efforts on connecting patrons with the most trustworthy, impactful and accountable nonprofits,” said Greg Hillgren, Chairman and Founder of TPI. “We know this is the best way to ‘answer the cal’ in supporting military service members and their families. Simply said, TPI is a ‘clearinghouse’ for the best information and the most impactful resources.” Since its inception in 2008, TPI has refined and tested its underwriting capabilities and has already delivered more than $1,200,000 in grants to the most worthy nonprofits serving America’s armed forces communities

With hundreds of nonprofits emerging in local communities and across the nation to serve the needs of the military, The Patriots Initiative, through its proprietary database known as The Directory, seeks to provide clarity for donors, allowing them peace of mind knowing their hard earned dollars are going to organizations that are the most effective. By partnering with local community foundations, TPI’s services are directly in touch with specific local needs and more readily accessible to donors and military service members.

The Patriots Initiative’s Directory identifies those exceptional organizations that have engaged in ‘best practices’ and have proven themselves to be effective, efficient and reliable service providers specifically tailored for active duty military families, wounded warriors, and veterans. The result is a comprehensive list of the charitable organizations identified for doing the best work in their area of focus and expertise.

TPI is a resource for identifying and evaluating top-tier military nonprofit organizations, and for appropriately distributing funds to the causes most in need. TPI has four distinct donation funds: the TPI Wounded and Fallen Fund, TPI Family Support Fund, TPI Warriors In Transition Fund, and the TPI Discretionary Fund.

Less than one percent of America’s population will volunteer to take on the vital responsibility of protecting our country and our freedoms. Our military service members and their families have earned and deserve the best we can give them. TPI is the resource for people to find and support organizations that can be trusted to do the most good for these heroes, both active and retired, who faithfully serve the USA.
