Two Military Charities Approved & Added to the TPI Directory

THE PATRIOTS INITIATIVE is proud to recognize Paws’itive Teams (specifically the “Emotional Support Dogs for Veterans” and “Service Dogs for Veterans” programs) and Working Wardrobes for a New Start as two of the nation’s finest nonprofit organizations working to improve the lives and well-being of our nation’s military service members, wounded and fallen warriors, veterans and their families. The two organizations will be joining TPI’s DIRECTORY which represents the nation’s foremost selection of those trustworthy and effective nonprofits serving our nation’s armed forces communities.

Paws’itive Teams LogoPaws’itive Teams: Paws’itive Teams was initially founded in 1997. The organization aims to enhance the lives of individuals with special needs living in San Diego County with highly trained service and therapy dogs. Paws’itive Teams offers an Emotional Support Dog program specifically for veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or Traumatic Brain Injuries, as well as a trained service dog placement program for veterans to assist with physical challenges as well as PTSD and TBI.

VetNet LogoSince 1990, Working Wardrobes has been providing powerful and impactful life and career development services to survivors of major life crises seeking to re-enter the workforce, long-term unemployed and underemployed individuals, and veterans preparing to re-enter the civilian workforce. The organization’s vision is to help all individuals find meaningful employment and maintain self-sufficiency. Through the organization’s VetNet program, over 1,500 veterans have successfully transitioned back into civilian life and employment.
