Military Families & Military Spouses – MVPs in the Month of May

May 6, 2017

The Patriots Initiative - Military Spouse Appreciation Month, Military Spouse SupportOn May 12, 2017, we’d like to celebrate our military spouses for their never-ending support and innumerable sacrifices. THE PATRIOTS INITIATIVE (TPI) encourages you to make a difference by supporting the efforts of two outstanding DIRECTORY organizations. To show our continued support for our military spouses, we’ve partnered with two organizations that work towards encouraging and strengthening military family life. Families are the backbone to maintaining hope and positivity in the military, which makes it even more vital to recognize the women and men who help keep that aspect of support thriving for years to come.

Non Profit Organizations Supporting Military Family Life

This May, THE PATRIOTS INITIATIVE (TPI) is dedicated to recognizing the efforts of two outstanding DIRECTORY organizations. Our newly partnered organizations, Blue Star Families and USO San Diego, strive to support military members and their spouses to stay connected. Ultimately, their main goals is to help military families remain encouraged while their loved ones are away from home, as well as when they return.

Blue Star Families LogoBlue Star Families works to strengthen military families through career development, caregiving, and research on military family life to better provide solutions to the challenges these families face. They recently released their annual Military Family Lifestyle Survey. This survey is used by policy makers in DC, and across the country to learn about how to meet the most pressing needs of military families. The more people who take this survey, the greater the impact the survey may have in assisting the research and development of family lifestyle resources for military service members and veterans. You can help this research effort by taking the online survey.
